Job summary

Cana Catholic School is seeking a qualified teacher to lead learning in our classrooms within the MACS framework. The successful applicant will embrace the MACS 2030 Strategy, focusing on the Vision for Instruction and Engagement, and will build strong relationships with students.

• The ability to lead learning in the classroom with an understanding of the Science of Learning and Explicit Instruction e.g. retrieval practices, Daily Review and Checking for Understanding.
• An ability to foster a classroom culture based on consistent predictable routines.
• A collaborative mindset and a commitment to working in a team environment.
• An understanding of the importance of working in partnership with families.
• Knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 and the ability to plan and implement engaging learning experiences for all students.
• Proficiency in the use of relevant technology to enhance student learning.
• Commitment to the Catholic ethos and will support the Catholic Identity of the school.

Applicants should have:

• Current VIT registration
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school, or a commitment to undertake this study in the future
• A willingness to comply with the school’s Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct.
