Classroom Teacher
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic teacher to join our teaching staff, beginning in September. This is a full-time position, but we are open to applications from candidates who prefer to work part-time, as we recognize many strong teachers juggle work and family commitments.
Powell Corderoy School is a fabulous place to work! We have an experienced and supportive team of staff who love working together and are not afraid to try new things. There’s a real commitment to staff wellbeing and managing teacher workload, with staff meetings currently held every two weeks for an hour, and teachers are given release time for additional tasks.
Our children are probably the best thing about Powell Corderoy. They’re interested and interesting. Our high expectations for behaviour and learning ensure they make great progress. Children benefit from a bespoke curriculum designed to be based on real-life experiences. We frequently go out and about and seek opportunities to engage with our local community. Our extensive school grounds in the Surrey Hills provide an ideal setting for outdoor learning, making good use of the natural environment.
The Headteacher, Richard Darke, would be happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have, including during the holidays if possible. Please email head@pcps.uk to make an appointment.
Closing date for applications is Friday 30th May at 12pm, and interviews will take place during the week commencing 2 June 2025.
