Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a Classroom Support Assistant in Cannock. You will work across partner schools to support pupils’ academic progress, behaviour and wellbeing, with duties including lesson setup and small-group help.

Ideal for graduates or career changers; starting immediately. DBS and right to work in the UK are required or in process, with competitive PAYE weekly pay and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, or similar setting.
• Relevant qualification (Level 2/3) or degree in education/related field preferred.
• Confidence supporting pupils one-to-one or in small groups.
• Ability to assist with general classroom tasks, lesson prep, and behaviour management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; reliable and adaptable.
• Current DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality classroom support across partner schools in Cannock.
• Support pupils’ academic progress, behaviour and wellbeing.
• Assist with lesson preparation and general classroom tasks.
• Build positive relationships with staff and pupils.
