Responsibilities

• Provide support to teachers and deliver high-quality teaching and learning in the classroom.
• Work with individual pupils, small groups and the whole class as appropriate.
• Help pupils engage with learning, develop independence and overcome barriers to progress.
• Deliver targeted interventions and additional support to help pupils make progress.
• Support pupils with additional needs, adapting approaches to enable access to learning.
• Help create and maintain a calm, purposeful and positive learning environment.
• Prepare resources and assist teachers with organising learning activities.
• Observe pupils' progress and give feedback to teachers on next steps.
• Support children's social, emotional and personal development, helping them feel safe and included.
• Promote high expectations for behaviour and model school values.
• Support pupils during break and lunchtime as required.
• Contribute to the wider life and sense of community in the school.
