GSL Education are excited to offer a great opportunity for a caring Classroom Nursing Assistant to join a friendly school in Weymouth. You will work alongside teachers and other staff to make sure every child gets the care they need. If you enjoy helping young people and want to make a real difference in their lives, this could be the perfect job for you.

As a Classroom Nursing Assistant, you will work with teachers, health staff, and support teams to care for pupils with medical or complex learning needs during the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Care for pupils with health and medical needs while at school.
• Help pupils with personal care, hygiene, and feeding if needed
• Give or help with medicine, following care plans and training.
• Support pupils in class with one-to-one or small group help.
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to keep pupils safe and supported.
• Watch for any health concerns and report them quickly.
• Create a calm and supportive space to help learning and growth.
• Always follow safeguarding and health and safety rules.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in healthcare, nursing, SEN, or care work, especially with children or young people.
• Basic medical knowledge and confidence helping those with complex needs.
• A kind, patient, and flexible approach to care.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to follow care plans, risk assessments, and school rules.
• Qualifications in health & social care, childcare, or nursing are a plus.
• A full CV covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply through GSL Education.
