Qualifications

• Expérience dans un cadre de soins de santé, de soins infirmiers, SEN ou de soins, de préférence avec des enfants ou des jeunes.
• CV à jour couvrant les dix dernières années.
• DBS amélioré enregistré sur le service de mise à jour (ou volonté d'en demander un).

Responsibilities

• Fournir des soins et une supervision aux élèves ayant des besoins médicaux.
• Travailler en collaboration avec les enseignants et le personnel pour garantir la sécurité des élèves.

Job Title: Classroom Nursing Assistant
Location: Christchurch
Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time/Permanent

GSL Education are delighted to offer a unique opportunity for a Classroom Nursing Assistant to join a dedicated team at a specialist school in Christchurch. This is a rewarding role where you will support students with medical or health needs, helping them feel safe and cared for throughout the school day. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure each child can take part in learning with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care and supervision to pupils with health and medical requirements during the school day.
• Support pupils with personal care, hygiene, and feeding routines, where necessary.
• Administer or assist with medication, following individual care plans and training.
• Assist pupils in accessing learning by providing 1:1 and small-group support.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to ensure pupils’ safety, dignity, and progress.
• Monitor pupils' physical well-being and report concerns promptly to appropriate staff.
• Promote a calm, supportive atmosphere that enhances learning and development.
• Follow safeguarding and health and safety policies at all times.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in a healthcare, nursing, SEN, or care setting, preferably with children or young people is desirable.
• A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to care and support.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow care plans, risk assessments, and school policies effectively.
• Relevant qualifications in health & social care, childcare, or nursing are highly desirable.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
