Job summary

Academics, a leading education recruitment agency based in Stoke-on-Trent, is recruiting enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support local secondary schools across the region. This role suits someone looking to gain classroom experience or a university student seeking flexible work that fits around studies.

ASAP starts available and opportunities for long-term roles. You will supervise lessons, deliver pre-prepared materials, and help maintain a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two months' UK-based experience working with young people (e.g. in schools, coaching, tutoring, youth work, mentoring or similar settings).
• Confident and professional classroom presence.
• Ability to manage behaviour effectively and build positive relationships with students.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Keep students engaged and focused throughout the lesson.
• Provide a brief handover to teaching staff at the end of each lesson.

Classroom Cover Supervisor - Role Information:
