Job summary

Thetford Academy in Thetford is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to supervise classes during teacher absences and to provide curriculum support and administrative assistance. You will contribute to safeguarding and help maintain a positive learning environment.

Strong communication, patience, and adaptability are essential, along with GCSE English and Maths or NVQ3 equivalent. The role offers full-time hours over 39 teaching weeks with pro-rata pay.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or NVQ 3 equivalent.
• Very good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Proficient use of technology to support teaching and learning.
• Experience of teaching or other learning environments covering groups or classes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality supervision of classes to cover short-term absence.
• Deliver set work and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Support general curriculum planning and administration.
• Develop curriculum resources and enrichment materials.
