Job Title: Infrastructure Support Engineer (Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Guildford, United Kingdom (On-site only)

Contract Duration: January 2025 – December 2027

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Support Engineer to maintain and manage classified and non-classified infrastructure, ensuring high performance and availability of networks and systems. The role involves supporting users, resolving incidents, managing hardware and software, and providing technical input for infrastructure changes. Platforms include Linux, Windows, VMware, and Citrix.

Responsibilities:

1. Support and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
2. Assist users and resolve technical incidents efficiently.
3. Manage hardware and software assets.
4. Contribute to infrastructure planning and implementation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in infrastructure support, especially with Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, VMware, and networking.
• Certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, MCSA/MCSE, CCNA are preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must hold UK Security Clearance (UKSC) and be a UK national eligible for DV clearance.

Experience:

• At least two of the following or equivalent: RHCSA/RHCE, MCSA/MCSE, CCNA/CCDA, VCP.
• 3-5 years’ experience working in a busy IT department or relevant work environment.
