Year 6 Class Teacher - Preston

Location: Preston
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £120 – £150 per day (depending on experience)

The Opportunity

A thriving and supportive primary school in Preston is seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 6 Teacher to lead their final-year cohort from September 2025.

This is a pivotal role with responsibility for preparing pupils for SATs and supporting a smooth transition to secondary school. You’ll deliver engaging, high-impact lessons and be part of a collaborative team that values academic rigour, emotional wellbeing, and a strong school community.

What You’ll Bring

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 6 preferred)
  • Confidence in preparing children for end-of-key-stage assessments
  • Ability to motivate and manage pupils with varying levels of ability
  • A reflective, organised, and driven teaching style

Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome. A strong KS2 placement or experience in Year 6 is beneficial. Full support will be provided where appropriate.

Pay & AWR (Agency Worker Regulations)

The role is paid at £120 to £150 per day, depending on experience, for the first 12 weeks.
After 12 weeks, AWR entitlements apply, meaning you will receive pay and working conditions equivalent to a permanent member of staff. This includes parity in salary, workload expectations, staff facilities, and opportunities for CPD.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
