North Yorkshire Council, on behalf of a local school in Skipton, is seeking a Class Teacher (Year 5/6) for maternity cover. The post is 0.4 fte, 2–4 days per week, with MPS 3/UPS 1 pro rata depending on experience.

You will teach a mixed Year 5/6 class, contribute to a supportive team, and help all learners progress toward Key Stage 2 outcomes. Visits welcomed; closing date 20 November 2026.

Are you an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference? We are seeking an outstanding Class Teacher to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover basis, teaching a mixed Year 5/6 class.

The role offers flexibility of 2-4 days per week, depending on the availability, experience and suitability of the successful candidate.

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and high expectations for behaviour and learning.

• Work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
