As a Catholic school, we are part of the Newman Catholic Collegiate and are currently graded as 'good' by Ofsted in our most recent inspection in April 2023. Class Teacher and English Lead

We are seeking an exceptional and passionate teacher to join our dedicated team at St Wilfrid's Catholic Academy. In this role, you will have a classroom teaching responsibility and driving improvement in English across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge pupils
• Lead the development and implementation of the English curriculum, ensuring that it meets the needs of all learners
• Provide support and guidance to colleagues in the teaching of English
• Analyse and interpret data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective intervention strategies
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Be committed to actively upholding the Catholic ethos of our school
• Excellent subject knowledge in English
• Proven experience in teaching at the primary level, with a strong track record of delivering good or outstanding lessons
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and build positive relationships with pupils and parents
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to continuously improve teaching practice
