Discovery Academy is a brand-new school for children and young people with SEND located on the Norfolk Park Estate in Sheffield. The Academy is run by the award-winning Nexus Multi Academy Trust.

We are looking to appoint a highly professional and efficient Class Teacher and subject Lead for Science.
You will need to demonstrate that you:
• Have GCSE Grade C or above in mathematics or English or equivalent qualification
• Are willing to undertake regular training and professional development as and when required
• Have working knowledge of SEND Code of Practice 0-25 years
• Have experience of teaching children or young people with SEND including Autism in a mainstream, resource base or special school setting
• Have the ability to teach all subjects
• Have the ability to lead Science throughout the school
• Have expert knowledge on the delivery of phonics and early reading framework.
• Are committed to supporting the aims of the academy
