St Edmundsbury C of E Primary Academy in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a committed class teacher for a 0.6 FTE, fixed-term post from 1 January 2027. The role includes some PPA cover and may involve leading curriculum subjects based on the candidate’s strengths.

Experience of teaching KS1 and KS2 is desirable, and the school offers a welcoming community, staff wellbeing supports, and opportunities for professional development within the Elveden Schools Trust.

St Edmundsbury C of E Primary Academy is part of Elveden Schools Trust and the only Church of England Primary in Bury St Edmunds. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team. We are seeking a committed teacher, with a passion for a child-centred curriculum, to continue this approach and develop our provision further.

We are seeking to appoint a part-time, 0.6 FTE, class teacher from 1st January 2027. This will include some PPA cover. There will also be the opportunity to lead curriculum subjects and this will depend on the successful candidates’ particular areas of expertise, as well as the needs of the school. Experience of teaching KS1 and 2 is desirable, as is a good knowledge of the curriculum.
