Langdale Primary School in Newcastle-under-Lyme is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to deliver high-quality lessons and uphold high standards. The role is a maternity cover for two terms for Year 5 and 6, contracted 32.5 hours per week, with a Main Scale 1-6 pay and £31,916 FTE.

The duties for this role will include:
Support to Pupils:

Working in close partnership with the Key Stage lead and team, to ensure a consistent approach throughout.

Undertaking full teaching responsibility for a class.

Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons you are responsible for or come into contact with.

Person Specification
Essential:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum

Experience of teaching across more than one year group or phase

Experience of subject leadership or leading an area of the curriculum

Note 1:

In addition to the ability to perform the duties of the post, issues relating to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children will need to be demonstrated these will include:

Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours and Attitudes to use of authority and maintaining discipline.
