About the Role
We are looking to appoint an exceptional class teacher to cover the maternity leave of one of our excellent teachers.

  • Candidates must demonstrate that they are hard-working, committed, positive and an excellent classroom teacher, who has a thirst for improvement;
  • able to work effectively in partnership with the existing teaching and learning team;
  • able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of the teaching of reading;
  • able to share their curriculum expertise and demonstrate the positive impact of this on children’s progress and learning
  • able to demonstrate excellent classroom management skills to secure the very best outcomes;
  • able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of strategies to raise attainment and accelerate progress;
  • able to demonstrate high expectations of themselves and pupils;
  • committed to their own professional development;
  • able to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with children, colleagues, external professionals, parents/carers, as well as other school stakeholders;
  • able to manage their time effectively
  • fully prepared to play an active part in all aspects of Banks Road Primary School life;
  • adaptable; willing to take on new challenges and able to work in a team to achieve the school’s key priorities and for the best interests of the children and their/our school
  • is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.
