Ark Dickens is a two-form entry primary academy in Portsmouth and part of the Ark network. We are seeking a dedicated teacher to cover maternity leave, delivering high-quality lessons and supporting pupil progression.

You will work with colleagues across the network to maintain a positive school culture and help pupils develop a lifelong love of learning. This fixed-term role is based in Portsmouth with access to our staff benefits and professional development.

• Plan and teach well-structured, differentiated lessons that are aligned to the agreed curriculum and cultivate every pupil’s intellectual curiosity.
• Use data to inform teaching and learning, identify areas for intervention and provide feedback to pupils, staff and families in order to ensure progress and outcomes.
• Manage behaviour effectively to create a safe, respectful and nurturing environment enabling pupils to focus on learning.
• Work collaboratively with both school and network colleagues as a committed team member, building successful, high performing teams.
• Participate actively throughout the network, by attending relevant meetings, and, as appropriate, delivering network-wide training and initiatives.
• Work with colleagues, pupils and families to develop a strong school community.

As a dedicated and passionate teacher, you will play a key role in our mission to ensure every pupil receives an exceptional education and the opportunity to make real choices about their future, whatever their background. You will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that challenge, inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their very best, while nurturing a genuine love of learning that extends beyond the classroom.
