Job summary

St Cuthbert's Catholic Primary in Chester-le-Street is seeking a highly motivated class teacher to join our KS2 team for 2 terms to cover maternity leave. This role is 2 days per week on a fixed-term basis, with a strong emphasis on supporting the Catholic ethos of the school and delivering an engaging, inclusive curriculum.

The successful candidate will have KS2 classroom experience, knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, and a commitment to high standards in attainment and behaviour.

Qualifications

• KS2 teaching experience in a primary setting.
• Ability to support and uphold Catholic ethos of the school.
• Experience working collaboratively with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Teach and plan across Key Stage 2 in a 2-term maternity cover.
• Create a stimulating, well-organised learning environment.
• Work with EAL and SEND learners to support progress.
• Contribute to all aspects of school life and events.

Grade: MPS 1-6 / UPS 1-3 (£32,916 to £51,048 per annum)

Hours: 2 days, Fixed Term (2 terms, Maternity cover)
