Job summary

The Woodlands School in Milton Keynes is seeking an outstanding teacher for our KS3 SEN department at the Hazeley campus. This role focuses on understanding how each student learns and motivates them to excel across a broad range of subjects.

We welcome candidates with SEN experience or enthusiasm to transition, including ECTs. The position is fixed-term until 21 February 2026 with salary outlined as MPS/UPS plus SEN allowance. DBS check required and safeguarding is a core expectation.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Social Communication Difficulties.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
• Willingness to train for SEN support; ECTs welcome.

Job description

Key to the role will be learning what engages each student, how they learn and how they are motivated, channeling these factors into how you teach each subject, so that every student gets the most out of every day. You will inspire your students to enjoy a range of subjects, bringing each lesson to life, engaging them in a love of learning.

We are looking for an outstanding teacher, who is dedicated to the welfare, safeguarding and achievement of every child; who wants to make a difference and knows the pathway that will allow students to do so. The vacancy will be within our KS3 department at our Hazeley campus.

If you have not worked in SEN before, but are enthusiastic and motivated to make the move, we will give you additional training and provide support. ECT's are also welcome to apply.
