Job summary

St Chad’s C of E Nursery & Infant, Derby, is seeking an experienced EYFS teacher on a fixed-term, part-time contract until August 2027. The post offers pro-rata salary within the Main Scale and opportunities across Nursery to Year 2 based on school needs.

Possibility of extension to contract, dependant on operational needs of the school Hours: Part-time (08:30 – 1pm Monday to Friday) Salary: Teachers Main Scale (M1 £32,916 - M6 £45,352 FTE) pro-rata for part time/term time Location: St Chad’s C of E Nursery & Infant, Gordon Road, Derby DE23 6WR Age Range: 2 – 7 years NOR: 120 plus AM/PM Nursery (52 3YO and 16 2YO FS1) Start Date: As soon as possible

Job outline

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Governors to appoint an experienced and committed teacher to join our friendly school family. The successful candidate will initially be based within our nurturing Early Years Foundation Stage, working alongside our dedicated Nursery team. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right candidate to make a real difference to the lives of our youngest children as they begin their learning journey within our caring school community. As an infant school, all teaching staff are employed as teachers of the school, and future deployment may be across Nursery, Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, depending on the needs of the school.
