GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Class Teacher to work across a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in the Barnsley area. This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to thrive in a supportive environment.

About the Role:

As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Whether you’re stepping in for a day or taking on a longer-term role, your goal will be to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where every child can succeed.

Class Teacher Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Support the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils across all primary key stages.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom culture.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress and development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support pupil outcomes.
• Promote positive behaviour and respectful relationships within the classroom.
• Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements for a Class Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching in UK primary schools is desirable.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A flexible, proactive, and resilient teaching approach.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
