Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a SEN Teacher in Aylesbury to teach primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism and learning difficulties.

You’ll plan practical, engaging lessons around pupils’ abilities, with a focus on communication, independence and progress at their own pace. Qualified Teacher Status is required and experience in SEN is welcomed. A competitive daily rate applies, with enhanced DBS requirements.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching pupils with SEN or adapting lessons for children with additional needs.
• Strong classroom organisation and a calm, flexible approach.
• Ability to recognise and build on small steps in progress.
• Commitment to safeguarding and working collaboratively.
• Experience in a special school is welcome, but mainstream teaching experience will also be considered.

You’ll plan practical, engaging lessons around pupils’ abilities, with a focus on communication, independence and progress at their own pace. We welcome experienced SEN Teachers and mainstream teachers looking to move into special education.

As a SEN Teacher, you will:
