Job summary

Veolia in Oldham is seeking a professional driver to operate large goods vehicles on planned routes, starting early with a 45-hour week. You will join a team delivering essential services to communities, focusing on safety and efficiency on every trip.

We require a Class 2 licence, CPC, and Digi/Tachograph card. Daily vehicle checks, on-board notes, and adherence to road laws are part of the role. Veolia offers training, benefits, and a supportive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence required.
• CPC up-to-date required.
• Digi/Tachograph card required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate large goods vehicles (Skip, Hookloader, Trade Waste, FEL, curtainsiders).
• Drive to planned collection locations and move/empty waste containers.
• Lift bins of all weights and sizes as required.
• Complete daily checks of the vehicle per driver operator handbook.
• Use onboard technology to complete work notes.
• Comply with traffic laws and load security requirements.
• Leave carriageway clean and manage spillages.
