Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd is recruiting on behalf of our client in South Kirby for experienced Class 2 Drivers. Shifts are Mon-Fri with a 13:00 start, averaging around 8 hours, with occasional weekends.

Pay is £15.30 per hour (Mon-Fri), £15.75 on Saturday, and £21.00 on Sunday. Based in South Kirby (WF9), the role involves waste collection duties using a compaction vehicle, operating a bin pickup mechanism, and recording via PDA.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (Cat C).
• At least 2 years' proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• In-date enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to our waste management processes.
• Availability for early morning shifts and occasional weekend work.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Physical fitness to handle waste containers.

Responsibilities

• Collect nappies waste from healthcare facilities.
• Prepare the small base truck for daily operations.
• Utilise a compaction vehicle for waste disposal.
• Perform local collections, wheeling bins to the back of the truck, and operating the bin pick-up mechanism.
• Use a PDA for tracking and recording collections.
• Complete 25 to 60 collections during your shift, depending on volume.
• Maintain physical fitness for lifting and handling bins.
