Job summary

Certas Energy is recruiting a Tanker Driver to safely deliver fuel products to customers while upholding safety and high service standards. You will inspect vehicles, follow procedures, and act as a brand ambassador across deliveries.

The role demands a strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently yet collaboratively with depot teams. Experience in tanker/fuel operations is advantageous and PDP is desirable.

Qualifications

• ADR qualification is essential.
• Class C or Class C+E licence as required for role.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Digital Tachograph Card needed.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good numerical and logical reasoning ability.
• Ability to work independently while being a team player.
• Tanker or fuel industry experience is advantageous.
• PDP qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver fuel products in accordance with company procedures and current legislation.
• Carry out vehicle safety inspections and daily checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Follow Health, Safety, Environmental and quality procedures; report accidents or issues promptly.
• Maintain compliance with Driver’s Handbook and depot procedures.
• Load and discharge products safely and accurately.
• Verify customer, product and delivery information; obtain proof of delivery where required.
• Act as a professional ambassador for Certas Energy with excellent customer service.
• Communicate effectively with depot teams, supervisors and customers about schedules and discrepancies.
• Promote company products/services and identify opportunities for additional business.
• Build positive relationships across the business to support teamwork, safety and operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely deliver fuel products in accordance with company procedures, delivery instructions and current legislation.
• Carry out vehicle safety inspections and daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness before each journey.
• Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental and quality procedures, reporting accidents, incidents, spills or operational issues promptly.
• Maintain full compliance with Driver’s Handbook requirements, depot operational procedures and company policies.
• Load and discharge products safely and accurately, ensuring deliveries are completed correctly and efficiently.
• Verify customer, product and delivery information before dispensing product and obtain proof of delivery where required.
• Act as a professional ambassador for Certas Energy, providing excellent customer service at every interaction.
• Communicate effectively with depot teams, supervisors and customers regarding delivery schedules, issues or discrepancies.
• Promote company products and services where appropriate and identify opportunities for additional business.
• Build positive working relationships across the business and contribute to a culture of teamwork, safety and operational excellence.

What We’ll Need From You

• ADR qualification (essential).
• Class C or Class C+E licence, depending on role requirements.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good numerical and logical reasoning ability.
• Ability to work independently while remaining a strong team player.
• Previous tanker or fuel industry experience would be advantageous.
• PDP qualification is desirable.
