Job summary

Certas Energy is seeking a safety-focused Tanker Driver to deliver fuel products to customers across locations in the UK. You will ensure deliveries are completed safely, following all procedures and current legislation, while representing the Certas Energy brand with excellent customer service.

You will perform vehicle checks, verify delivery information, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• ADR qualification is essential
• Class C or Class C+E licence as per role requirements
• Driver CPC qualification
• PDP qualification is desirable
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Good numerical and logical reasoning
• Ability to work independently while being a strong team player
• Previous tanker or fuel industry experience would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver fuel products in accordance with company procedures and current legislation
• Carry out vehicle safety inspections and daily checks to ensure roadworthiness
• Follow Health, Safety, Environmental and quality procedures and report incidents promptly
• Load and discharge products safely and accurately
• Verify customer, product and delivery information and obtain proof of delivery
• Act as a professional ambassador for Certas Energy with excellent customer service
• Communicate effectively with depot teams, supervisors and customers about schedules and issues
• Promote products and services and identify opportunities for additional business
• Build positive working relationships and support a safety-first culture
• Maintain compliance with Driver's Handbook and depot procedures

What you'll be doing

• Safely deliver fuel products in accordance with company procedures, delivery instructions and current legislation.
• Carry out vehicle safety inspections and daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness before each journey.
• Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental and quality procedures, reporting accidents, incidents, spills or operational issues promptly.
• Maintain full compliance with Driver's Handbook requirements, depot operational procedures and company policies.
• Load and discharge products safely and accurately, ensuring deliveries are completed correctly and efficiently.
• Verify customer, product and delivery information before dispensing product and obtain proof of delivery where required.
• Act as a professional ambassador for Certas Energy, providing excellent customer service at every interaction.
• Communicate effectively with depot teams, supervisors and customers regarding delivery schedules, issues or discrepancies.
• Promote company products and services where appropriate and identify opportunities for additional business.
• Build positive working relationships across the business and contribute to a culture of teamwork, safety and operational excellence.
• ADR qualification (essential).
• Class C or Class C+E licence, depending on role requirements.
• Driver CPC qualification.
