Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a local council team in the south of Cambridgeshire. You will operate small Swingo and larger Scarab road sweepers to keep public roads clean and safe.

Requirements include a valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence, Driver CPC and Tachograph cards, and proven experience driving Class 2 vehicles. The role is a temporary 8-week booking with an ASAP start; there may be extension if the route and procedures are familiar.

Class 2 Sweeper Driver

Location: South of Cambridgeshire
Pay: £16.08 per hour (£31,036 per annum equivalent)
Hours: 05:45 – 14:15, including a 30-minute break
Contract: Temporary – 8-week booking initially
Start Date: ASAP

Interaction Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a local council team in the south of Cambridgeshire.

The role involves operating small Swingo and larger Scarab road sweepers to maintain clean and safe public roads. Duties will also include using hand tools, such as hoes and brooms, to loosen debris and clearing blockages from the suction box and machinery when required.

The initial booking is for 8 weeks, with the potential for extension. An ASAP start is preferred to allow time to familiarise yourself with the routes, locations and team procedures.

Essential Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Tachograph cards.
• Proven experience driving Class 2 vehicles.
• A reliable, hands-on approach and willingness to undertake manual duties.
