Pure Staff Birmingham are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Day Driver to join a well-established steel distribution business in the Dudley area. This is an ongoing Monday to Friday role with competitive hourly pay and opportunities for permanent placement for the right candidate.

You will deliver steel products to commercial customers across the UK, complete POD paperwork accurately, and perform daily vehicle checks while adhering to driving hours and road transport regulations.

Qualifications

• Full UK Category C (Class 2) licence required.

Pure Staff Birmingham are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Day Driver to work with our long-established customer based in the Dudley area. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Class 2 Day Driver looking for ongoing work with a highly respected business operating within the UK steel distribution industry.

Our customer is one of the UK’s leading metal stockholders and steel processing suppliers, serving businesses nationwide through a well-established distribution network.

Pay Rates

• £16.00 per hour PAYE
• £17.93 per hour PAYE including rolled up holiday pay
• Monday to Friday working pattern
• Choice of accrued holiday or rolled up holiday pay

The Role

As a Class 2 Day Driver, you will be delivering steel products to commercial customers across the UK. This is a customer-facing role requiring professionalism, attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering steel products to business and industrial customers nationwide
• Ensuring all Proof of Delivery (POD) paperwork is completed accurately
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Adhering to all driving hours, working time and road transport regulations
• Maintaining a professional image while representing both Pure Staff and our customer

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• 06:00 starts
• Typical shifts between 8 and 12 hours
• Ongoing long-term work available

Requirements

To be considered for this Class 2 Day Driver position, you will need:

• Full UK Category C (Class 2) Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Professional and reliable attitude
• Experience within the transport and logistics sector preferred
