Job summary

Pure Staff Birmingham are recruiting for a Class 1 Day Driver in Bilston, West Midlands. You will deliver goods to stores and customer locations across local and nationwide routes with a professional driving team and well-maintained fleet.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, with start times typically between 01:00 and 07:00 and shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours. Competitive hourly rates (£17–£21.98) with optional rolled up holiday pay are offered, along with ongoing regular work and in-house payroll

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to stores and customer locations across local and nationwide routes
• Complete 1–3 deliveries per shift
• Operate a tail lift safely and efficiently
• Complete PODs and all delivery documentation accurately
• Carry out vehicle checks and report defects
• Provide a professional and courteous service at customer sites
• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and on time

Class 1 Day Driver - Monday to Friday - Up to £21.29 per Hour Including Rolled Up Holiday Pay - Bilston

Pure Staff Birmingham are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Day Driver on behalf of our well-established customer based in Bilston, West Midlands.

Our customer is a long-established food manufacturing and distribution business, supplying high-quality poultry products to major retailers, food service providers and manufacturers across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Day Driver looking for regular ongoing work with a professional transport operation, well-maintained vehicles and a supportive driving team.

Pay Rates

Standard PAYE

• Monday to Friday: £17.00 per hour
• Saturday: £18.00 per hour
• Sunday / Bank Holiday: £19.00 per hour

PAYE with Rolled Up Holiday Pay (Optional)

• Monday to Friday: £19.05 per hour
• Saturday: £20.17 per hour
• Sunday / Bank Holiday: £21.29 per hour

Rolled up holiday pay is available as an optional payment method, giving drivers the flexibility to receive their holiday entitlement as part of their hourly rate.

What's Involved?

As a Class 1 Day Driver, you will be delivering goods to stores and customer locations across both local and nationwide routes.

Typical duties include:

• Completing between 1 and 3 deliveries per shift
• Store deliveries throughout the UK
• Operating a tail lift safely and efficiently
• Completing PODs and all delivery documentation accurately
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Providing a professional and courteous service at customer sites
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time

This role involves customer-facing deliveries and requires excellent professionalism and communication skills.

Requirements
