Job summary

Berry Recruitment are looking for Class 2 Drivers for our client based in Mid Sussex. Newly qualified drivers will be considered. Temp to perm opportunities for the right candidate.

You will carry out refuse and recycling collections, operate in-cab technology and complete paperwork in real time, while keeping vehicles clean and well-maintained. A valid HGV Class 2 licence and Driver CPC are required to join the team.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points).
• Driver CPC is required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to undertake tasks.
• Willingness to assist refuse loaders as part of the route.
• Clean driving licence desirable for all staff.

Responsibilities

• Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with knowledge of machinery aspects.
• Deploy safe lifting and handling techniques.
• Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed.
• Complete relevant paperwork in real time.
• Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use.
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and vehicles and foster excellent customer relations.
