Job summary

IMH Recruitment are seeking a Refuse Driver to join our client in Reading, RG2. You will drive and take responsibility for a refuse collection vehicle, perform daily vehicle checks, and lead the team to ensure safe, efficient collections.

Role requires Class 1 or 2 HGV licence, UK licence with up to 3 points, and experience in refuse driving. 37 hours per week, typically Mon-Fri 06:00–14:00, paid £18.66 per hour with weekly payroll via agency.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 or 2 HGV licence.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points.
• Previous refuse driving or similar experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure refuse collections are completed safely and efficiently.

Requirements for Role:

• Class 1 or Class 2 HGV driving licence (Class 2 essential).
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points.
• Previous refuse driving or similar experience essential.
• Bus driving experience may be considered.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety.

Hours and Pay:

• 37 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday, generally 06:00 - 14:00.
• £18.66 per hour, weekly pay via agency!
• 30-minute unpaid break.
• Start times may vary depending on seasonal weather conditions.
