Job summary

Recruit A Driver in Birstall is seeking Class 2 drivers to operate refrigerated vehicles, delivering cages to coffee chain stores across Leeds, York and the North East. Role involves hand unloading and accurate delivery recording. Flexible shift patterns and temp-to-perm opportunities available.

Shifts start between 15:00 and 17:00 with options including weekdays, weekends, 4 on/4 off, or a 7-week rota. Must hold a valid UK Class 2 licence with CPC and Tachograph, and have reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence held for at least 2 years.
• Recent Class 2 driving experience within last 6–12 months.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points, minor offences only.
• Reliable attendance, timekeeping and safety.
• Ability to handle cage deliveries and unloading.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 refrigerated vehicle.
• Deliver and unload cages at coffee chain stores.
• Record deliveries using handheld device.
• Complete vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain safety and professional standards.

WHAT DOES THE JOB INVOLVE?

You'll be driving a refrigerated Class 2 vehicle, delivering cages to store locations and completing timed deliveries. The role involves unloading cages by hand, so you must be comfortable with physical work.Your duties will include:

• Driving a Class 2 refrigerated vehicle
• Delivering and unloading cages at coffee chain stores
• Using a handheld device to record and manage deliveries
• Completing vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Working safely and maintaining professional standards

WHICH SHIFTS SUIT YOU?

Start times are between 15:00 and 17:00 , with a choice of working arrangements depending on availability:

• Weekday shifts
• Weekend shifts
• Ad hoc work
• 4 on / 4 off rotating shifts
• 4 shifts out of 7 on a repeating 7-week rota
• Temporary and temp-to-perm options are available

DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT EXPERIENCE?

You'll need:
