Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting a Class 2 Driver position based in Leeds, primarily involving trunking between two warehouse locations situated less than a mile apart. This role is ideal for drivers seeking regular work with minimal long-distance driving.

Duties will include trunking, driving Class 2 vehicles, completing vehicle checks and relevant paperwork, and ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Minimum 12 months Class 2 driving experience.
• Valid CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Food Safety Level 2 qualification.
• Good communication and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries safely and professionally
• Follow all road transport legislation and company procedures
• Assist with loading and unloading where required
• Maintain a high standard of customer service
• Report any vehicle defects or issues promptly

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 06:00-14:00 or 07:00-15:00

About the Role

Duties will include:

• Trunking between warehouse locations
• Driving Class 2 vehicles as part of the client's transport operation
• Completing vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time

Pay Rates

• £14.01 per hour
• Overtime after 39 hours: £21.02 per hour
• Sunday overtime after 39 hours: £28.02 per hour
