Job summary

Driver Hire Manchester is seeking an experienced Class 2 HIAB Driver to join a large timber merchant network in the North West. You will deliver to business and residential customers, perform daily vehicle checks, and maintain open lines of communication with branch management.

Exact requirements include a HIAB Operator Certificate Class 2, Cat C Licence, CPC and Tachograph card, with a UK driving licence held for at least one year. Competitive hourly pay with weekly PAYE.

Qualifications

• Must hold HIAB Operator Certificate Class 2.
• Cat C Licence (Class 2) required.
• HIAB Certificate - Class 2 Driver.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.

Responsibilities

• Securing loads, understanding height restrictions and legal height limits.
• 5–6 drops per day using HIAB Lorry Loader.
• Driving vehicle safely and obeying all traffic laws.
• Daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance.
• Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress.
• Completing paperwork accurately as instructed.
