Job summary

The Best Connection (Newcastle) are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 (Cat C) HIAB Driver for our long-standing client in the Benton area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driver looking for consistent, ongoing work with a reputable construction equipment specialist. Duties include safe operation of a Class 2 vehicle, loading/unloading with a HIAB crane (remote or manual) and ensuring loads are secure and paperwork is accurate.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C (Class 2) Licence.
• Valid HIAB certificate (ALLMI or ITSSAR).
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points for minor offences (No DD/DR/IN).
• Good knowledge of the North East road network.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of a Class 2 vehicle.
• Delivering and collecting non-mechanical plant and formwork equipment to construction sites across the North East.
• Operating the HIAB crane for loading/unloading (Remote or Manual).
• Ensuring all loads are secure and paperwork is completed accurately.

Candidate Requirements:

Pay and Hours:

• £16.50 per hour (Flat rate).
• Monday to Friday.
• Typical start times from 07:00 - 08:00.
