Job summary

Aberdeen Laundry Services (ALS Group) is seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team. This permanent, full-time position will ensure safe and timely delivery of goods to clients across Scotland.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to safety and service. Responsibilities include loading/unloading as required, completing paperwork, and coordinating deliveries with dispatch.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV driving licence.
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years' previous experience as an HGV delivery driver.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 HGV vehicles to transport goods to various locations in a safe and timely manner.
• Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
• Adhere to all road traffic regulations and company policies.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods as required.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to coordinate deliveries.
• Report any vehicle defects or issues to management promptly.
