Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking a permanent Class 2 Driver in Aberdeen to safely operate a Class 2 vehicle on local and regional routes, completing scheduled deliveries and collections with professionalism.

Responsibilities include pre-shift and post-shift vehicle checks, reporting defects promptly, loading and securing goods, following route plans, keeping accurate records, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety standards. A drivers mate will be provided.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Digital tachograph knowledge and tachograph rules compliance.
• Strong understanding of UK road safety and safe driving practices.
• Experience driving HGV multi-drop deliveries (preferred).
• Ability to complete vehicle walkround checks and report issues accurately.
• Good route planning and navigation skills to meet delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 (C) vehicle safely and efficiently in line with legal and company requirements.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections across local and regional routes.
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after shifts, reporting defects promptly.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent damage during transit.
• Follow route plans and delivery instructions, maintaining accurate timing and records.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle to a high standard.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures, including safe loading/unloading practices.
