Job summary

Driver Hire Southampton is recruiting Class 2 (HGV) drivers for a long-term, full-time role with a well-established client in the waste sector. This 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity starts at 06:45am and involves around 50 hours per week delivering, collecting and exchanging skips, and operating RoRo and tipper vehicles.

You must have a full UK Class 2 licence, CPC and Digi Tacho, and a safety-conscious approach; training is provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence required.
• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card.
• Newly qualified drivers welcome; training provided if needed.
• RoRo/Skip experience beneficial (training provided if not).
• Experience using chains advantageous.
• Own transport to commute to work.
• Strong understanding of health & safety and tachograph regulations.

Responsibilities

• Delivering, collecting and exchanging skips.
• Operating Skip, RoRo and Tipper vehicles.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate delivery records via PDA
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed within scheduled time slots.
