Job summary

Serve Talent is seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver for a full-time, permanent role based in Dartford, Kent. The position includes 11-hour days, early starts, and a mix of deliveries and collections across the UK with weekly pay.

The role requires prior multi-drop experience, a valid tachograph, CPC card, and ADR knowledge is beneficial. Trucks are automatic Euro 6, with ongoing training and a health benefits scheme after one year.

Responsibilities

• Communicate routing and load position to minimize disruption.
• Londondriving is part of the job.

Class 2 HGV Driver

Job Type:Full Time, Permanent

Location:Dartford,Kent

Salary:£800 - 900 per week depending on hours/overtime

The work is consistent i.e. it is a full time, permanent job with weekly pay and your own allocated truck.

The trucks available are automatic, Euro 6, Volvos or DAFs.

About the role

• This 18T HGV Driver role involves working directly for our customer, on contract.


• Our customer will be your point of contact for all operational work; however, we will be your point of contact should you have any issues with the truck or what the customer is asking of you.


• We are looking forexperiencedmulti drop drivers ONLY.


• These HGV roles are independent and are ideal for drivers that like to think for themselves.


• Londondriving will be a part of this job.

Outline of the Work

• You must ensure that you secure all pallets, and your tachograph and vehicle checks are legal each and every day.


• This logistics role is based on 11-hour days with 5/6am starts, Mon-Fri with no nights out.


• Some days you may work 9-10 hours, obviously this is to your benefit, however if you work over 11 hours you get paid overtime.


• If you come back to the depot after completing your run and the customer asks you to do something further within your 11 hours, you will be expected to carry out this work (this isn't regular but worth noting).


• Communication is key for this role, preparation of routing and load positioning is essential to achieving the workload with minimal disruption.


• A typical Class 2 multi-drop driver will complete approximately 8-10 deliveries/collections per day and work around 11-12 hours per day on average.

This 18T HGV Driver role involves palletised transport work, doing multiple deliveries or collections per day to commercial premises across the UK.

Each morning, you'll be expected to put your card in, do your walk-round checks, go to the office to get your consignments for the day, check your load, secure it as necessary, and commence driving - calling ahead to your first customer to advise an ETA where possible.
