Job summary

Driver Hire in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Class 2 gritter driver to operate a night-shift winter routes team. You will drive a Class 2 gritter vehicle, carry out pre-defined winter maintenance duties and ensure safe road treatment.

This role emphasizes reliability and the ability to work independently on a set route during winter conditions. Overtime is paid at time and a half, with a separate night rate of £24.41 per night Sunday to Thursday.

The Role:

• Working predominantly during night shifts and in winter weather conditions
• Following route instructions and all relevant health & safety procedures
• £16.81 per hour
• Overtime paid at time and a half
• £24.41 per night – Sunday to Thursday

You will need:
