Job summary

Driver Hire Dundee is seeking a Class 2 Gritter Driver in Forfar to carry out essential winter maintenance across the local area on a pre-determined route. You will operate a Class 2 gritter, perform night-time winter duties, and ensure roads are treated safely and efficiently.

A valid Class 2 licence, CPC and Digi Card, plus relevant driving experience, are required. Reliability and flexibility are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• A valid Class 2 (C) licence, CPC and Digi Card are required.
• Relevant commercial driving experience.
• A good understanding of road safety.
• Reliability and flexibility, particularly around winter weather conditions.
• The ability to work independently and follow a set route.

Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 gritter vehicle.
• Completing winter maintenance duties along a pre-determined route.
• Ensuring roads are treated safely and efficiently.
• Working predominantly during night shifts and in winter weather conditions.
• Following route instructions and all relevant health & safety procedures.
