Job summary

SAFFRON VANTAGE LTD is seeking a dedicated HGV Driver based in Burwell to safely transport machinery across the UK. The role requires overnight stays when needed and occasional travel, supporting both customer operations and internal logistics.

Salary is up to £33,000 per annum with permanent, full-time employment. The successful candidate will work with the Transport Manager to meet delivery schedules and maintain safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Transport machinery and equipment in accordance with operational requirements.
• Work closely with the Transport Manager to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
• Clean and prepare machinery for demonstrations and events.
• Support general yard duties as required by the Branch Manager.
• Ensure full compliance with licence and CPC requirements.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at all times.
• Promote and maintain health and safety practices in all areas of work.
• Attend relevant training to remain fully competent in your role.
• Provide support to colleagues as needed across various operational areas.
• Work independently and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
• Be willing to stay overnight when the schedule requires it.
