Job summary

Amey is recruiting for a Class 2 Driver - Street Cleaning to operate on-site from Olive Grove Depot in Sheffield and around the city. You will maintain roads, pavements and other parts of the highway network as part of the Streets Ahead contract, using hand tools or sweepers to keep areas clean.

The role is 40 hours per week, with Monday–Friday shifts, and offers flexible working patterns including hybrid and part-time options. Requires Class 2 licence and CPC, and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Class 2 Driving licence required.
• CPC required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep pavements and roadways using hand tools or mechanical sweepers as needed.
• Collect litter and ensure proper disposal.
• Empty litter bins into designated containers and report issues via channels.
• Maintain roads, pavements and street furniture and assist in gritting in adverse weather.
