ABOUT THE COMPANY

This is a well-established, globally owned freight forwarder providing land transport, air and sea freight, contract logistics, and supply chain management. A full-service forwarder well known in the industry.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be the face of the business for our client in Christchurch. Your responsibilities include satisfying the needs of new and existing clients and ensuring their goods are delivered safely and efficiently. You will be on call one week in six, meaning you will be available after hours and on weekends, for which you will be compensated outside of your normal pay. Additionally, you may be required to assist in the warehouse. Hours are generally from 8 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work.

ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidate will have a Class 2 license and the following attributes:

• Forklift license (OSH & F-endorsement)
• DG license (ideally)
• Previous experience in a warehouse/logistics environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to think outside the box and use initiative
• Physically fit
• Team player capable of working under pressure
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Proactive and resourceful with excellent time management
• Ability to take ownership of tasks
• Professional, well-mannered, with a good sense of humor
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Subject to a Ministry of Justice background check
