Job summary

Driver Hire Gatwick is recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to operate from our Crawley depot, serving clients across the South of England. The role offers variety, flexibility, and weekly pay, with shifts starting around 07:00–08:00 and a focus on safe, compliant driving.

You must hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC and Tachograph card, with no more than six points and no major endorsements. Own transport to depot is recommended.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence and CPC/ Tachograph card required.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsements (CD/IN/DR/TT).
• Ability to operate vehicles safely and load/unload goods securely.

Responsibilities

• Deliver palletised freight across the South of England.
• Start times between 07:00-08:00 AM and conduct daily vehicle checks.
• Ensure compliance with driver hours and road safety regulations.
• Safely load and unload goods and secure loads as required.
• Follow on-site health and safety procedures at all times.

Driver Hire Gatwick is currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to work from our client’s Crawley depot, supporting a number of prestigious and well-established clients across the South of England.

This role offers variety, flexibility, and competitive pay, making it ideal for competent and qualified drivers looking for ongoing or flexible work where no two days are the same.

The Role

• Delivering palletised freight across the South of England
• Start times between 07:00-08:00 AM
• Conducting daily vehicle checks in line with Health & Safety requirements
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and road safety regulations
• Safe loading and unloading of goods

About You

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements: CD/IN/DR/TT)
• Able to operate vehicles safely and responsibly
• Comfortable ensuring loads are secure at all times
• PPE required: Hi-Vis and Safety Boots
• Own transport required to commute to and from the depot
• Must comply with all on-site health and safety procedures
