Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd. is seeking a Class 2 Driver Nights in West Wales (Haverfordwest) to join our refrigerated fleet. You will deliver to retail stores across West Wales, handle multi-drop routes, and maintain safety standards throughout every shift.

The role includes night shifts with additional pay, ongoing training, and a strong focus on customer service and professionalism at every stop.

Qualifications

• UK Class 2 (C) Licence holder with refrigerated vehicle experience.
• DCPC and a Digital Tachograph Driver Card are essential.
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience is preferred but training will be provided.
• Strong customer service and professionalism at each stop.
• Ability to work to tight schedules and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate refrigerated vehicles 3.5T–18T with tail lift for multi-drop milk cage deliveries.
• Safely unload cages and move them to the store entrance at each stop.
• Complete up to 12 drops per day, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure loads are secured with straps, nets and other securing devices.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to update progress.
• Participate in regular training to stay ahead with industry standards.

Competitive Salary

£34,021 per annum - £38,109 per annum, depending on hours worked. Plus, for all hours worked between 21:00hrs & 04:00hrs, you will receive an additional £2.75 per hour.

About The Role

As a Class 2 Driver Nights, you will:

• Operate refrigerated vehicles ranging from 3.5T to 18T with use of a tail lift to make multi drop milk cage deliveries to retail stores throughout West Wales, from Swansea to
• Safely unload cages from the vehicle and move them to the store entrance at each delivery point, ensuring efficiency and proper handling.
• Complete up to 12 drops per day, maintaining accuracy and timeliness across all deliveries.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Essential Skills And Qualifications

• You must hold a valid UK Class 2 (C) Licence, and be comfortable operating refrigerated vehicles ranging from 3.5 to 18 tonnes.
• A current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and a Digital Tachograph Driver Card are essential to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
• Previous experience in multi-drop delivery is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided to get you up to speed.

• You’ll need to be comfortable working to tight schedules, managing your time effectively to ensure deliveries are made promptly and safely.
• A confident and polite communicator, you'll work closely with colleagues across transport and logistics, contributing to a supportive and efficient team environment.
• A good understanding of UK road networks, particularly across Wales and surrounding regions, will help you navigate routes efficiently and avoid delays.
