Gregory Distribution Ltd is hiring an HGV Driver (UK Class 2 C Licence) based in Haverfordwest. You will operate refrigerated 3.5–18T vehicles, complete up to 12 drops per day, and ensure safe loading and timely deliveries across West Wales.

You will join a supportive transport team, receive DCPC training, and enjoy a competitive salary (£34,021–£38,109) with overtime and weekend enhancements. The role requires strong customer service, good route knowledge, and commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 (C) licence required.
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card essential.
• Experience in multi-drop deliveries preferred.
• Strong customer service and professional brand representation.
• Able to work to tight schedules and manage time efficiently.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks, especially West Wales.

Responsibilities

• Deliver refrigerated goods 3.5T–18T to retail stores across West Wales.
• Unload cages, secure loads with straps or nets.
• Complete up to 12 drops per day with accuracy.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks using company phone.
• Maintain regular communication with transport team for updates.
• Participate in ongoing training and safety best practices.

About The Role

• Operate refrigerated vehicles ranging from 3.5T to 18T with use of a tail lift to make multi drop milk cage deliveries to retail stores throughout West Wales, from Swansea to
• Safely unload cages from the vehicle and move them to the store entrance at each delivery point, ensuring efficiency and proper handling.
• Complete up to 12 drops per day, maintaining accuracy and timeliness across all deliveries.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Essential Skills And Qualifications

• You must hold a valid UK Class 2 (C) Licence, and be comfortable operating refrigerated vehicles ranging from 3.5 to 18 tonnes.
• A current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and a Digital Tachograph Driver Card are essential to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
• Previous experience in multi-drop delivery is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided to get you up to speed.

• A good understanding of UK road networks, particularly across Wales and surrounding regions, will help you navigate routes efficiently and avoid delays.
