Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd in Haverfordwest is seeking an experienced HGV Driver (Class 2, C) to perform refrigerated multi‑drop deliveries across West Wales, from Swansea to the borders. You will handle loading, unloading, and securing goods, while maintaining safety checks and timely communication with the transport team.

The role requires a current UK Class 2 licence, DCPC, and a Digital Tachograph Card. Training is provided, with overtime paid and weekend uplift.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK Class 2 (C) Licence and be comfortable operating refrigerated vehicles 3.5–18t.
• A current DCPC and a Digital Tachograph Driver Card are essential.
• Multi-drop delivery experience preferred but full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate refrigerated vehicles 3.5T–18T with tail lift for milk cage deliveries.
• Unload cages at store entrances and secure loads for safe handling.
• Complete up to 12 drops per day with accuracy and timeliness.
• Load and secure goods to prevent shifting or damage.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks using the company phone.
• Stay in touch with transport team to provide progress updates.
• Attend training sessions to stay current with industry standards.

Competitive Salary

£34,021 per annum - £38,109 per annum, depending on hours worked. Plus, for all hours worked between 21:00hrs & 04:00hrs, you will receive an additional £2.75 per hour.

About The Role

• Operate refrigerated vehicles ranging from 3.5T to 18T with use of a tail lift to make multi drop milk cage deliveries to retail stores throughout West Wales, from Swansea to
• Safely unload cages from the vehicle and move them to the store entrance at each delivery point, ensuring efficiency and proper handling.
• Complete up to 12 drops per day, maintaining accuracy and timeliness across all deliveries.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Essential Skills And Qualifications

• You must hold a valid UK Class 2 (C) Licence, and be comfortable operating refrigerated vehicles ranging from 3.5 to 18 tonnes.
• A current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and a Digital Tachograph Driver Card are essential to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
• Previous experience in multi-drop delivery is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided to get you up to speed.
