Job summary

Ideal Recruit Ltd in Chorley is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 drivers for a reputable client. The assignment runs 8–10 weeks with ongoing support from our team throughout. Expect a 5/6 day rota with 8 hours minimum per shift, depot deliveries and general haulage.

Day, afternoon and night shifts are available across Monday to Sunday. You’ll need a valid Class 2 licence, CPC and Tachograph card, plus up to 6 penalty points for minor offences.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences.
• Minimum 1 year of Class 2 driving experience.
• Reliable, professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Depot deliveries and general haulage.
• Day, afternoon and night shifts.

Ideal Recruit is recruiting experienced Class 2 drivers for a reputable company in Chorley, with an assignment running for at least 8–10 weeks and support throughout.

PAYE Rates:

• Standard: £20.09
• Dawn shift: £21.13
• Early shift (05:00): £20.64
• Early shift (05:30): £20.37
• Evening shift: £20.87
• Late shift: £21.74
• Night shift: £23.22

Overtime paid at £22.03 per hour for hours worked over 36 hours and 15 minutes per week.

WHAT’S ON OFFER

• A rota covering 5/6 days out of 7.
• A minimum of 8 hours per shift.
• Depot deliveries and collections / general haulage.
• Day, afternoon and night shifts across Monday to Sunday.
• A short induction lasting approximately two hours.
• Ongoing support from our team throughout your assignment.

AVAILABILITY

Weekend availability is essential. You must also be available to work:

• Christmas Eve OR Boxing Day, and
• New Year’s Eve OR New Year’s Day.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• An up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points, for minor offences only.
• A minimum of 1 year of Class 2 driving experience.
