Job summary

Ideal Recruit Ltd in Preston is recruiting experienced Class 2 drivers for a reputable company. The assignment runs for at least 8–10 weeks with ongoing support from the recruitment team. Shifts are day, afternoon and night across 5/6 days, with weekend availability required.

Pay rates: Standard £20.09 per hour, dawn £21.13, early £20.64/£20.37, evening £20.87, late £21.74, night £23.22; overtime £22.03 per hour after 36h15m per week. Full CPC and tachograph required.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence (Cat C) and Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph card required.
• No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only).
• Minimum 1 year of Class 2 driving experience.
• Reliable, professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Depot deliveries and general haulage.
• Rotations across day, afternoon and night shifts.
• 5/6 days out of 7 with weekend availability.

Job description

Ideal Recruit is recruiting experienced Class 2 drivers for a reputable company in Preston, with an assignment running for at least 8–10 weeks and support throughout.

PAYE Rates:

• Standard: £20.09
• Dawn shift: £21.13
• Early shift (05:00): £20.64
• Early shift (05:30): £20.37
• Evening shift: £20.87
• Late shift: £21.74
• Night shift: £23.22

Overtime paid at £22.03 per hour for hours worked over 36 hours and 15 minutes per week.

WHAT’S ON OFFER

• A rota covering 5/6 days out of 7.
• A minimum of 8 hours per shift.
• Depot deliveries and collections / general haulage.
• Day, afternoon and night shifts across Monday to Sunday.
• A short induction lasting approximately two hours.
• Ongoing support from our team throughout your assignment.

AVAILABILITY

Weekend availability is essential. You must also be available to work:

• Christmas Eve OR Boxing Day, and
• New Year’s Eve OR New Year’s Day.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• An up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points, for minor offences only.
• A minimum of 1 year of Class 2 driving experience.
• A reliable, professional approach.
